Happy Monday, friends!
October might just be my favorite month in the yarn shop.
The weather is finally starting to cooperate with our wool sweaters, project bags seem to be multiplying, and everywhere I look I see beautiful fall colors inspiring the next cast-on.
We've got a busy month ahead, so let's dive in!
🌸
🌸 Flora Adora Has Begun!
What a wonderful way to kick off October!
Our first Flora Adora Hat Make Along was so much fun, and I can't wait to see everyone's hats come to life over the next few weeks.
Whether you're learning stranded colorwork, tackling a Latvian braid for the first time, or simply enjoying a cozy afternoon with friends, thank you for making this class such a joy.
I'm already looking forward to next Saturday!
🍂 Finish Off Fall
How are those Works in Progress coming?
Every week I see another long-forgotten project come back to life, and I absolutely love it!
Whether you're finally finishing a sweater, weaving in those last few ends, or giving a pair of socks the attention they deserve, keep going!
The best part of this challenge isn't the prize...it's finally getting to wear the projects you've worked so hard on.
🧶 New Colors Have Arrived!
Friday brought a fun surprise...a fresh Cascade Yarns shipment!
We've added beautiful new colors in some of your favorite bases:
🧶 Heritage 🧶 Heritage Prints 🧶 Pacific 🧶 Cherub DK
Whether you're dreaming about a cozy pair of socks, a soft baby gift, or your next sweater project, there are plenty of new colors waiting to inspire your next cast-on.
Stop by this week and see what's new—I have a feeling a few of these colors won't stay on the shelves for long!
🧦 Sock Tube Transformation Class
Have you been curious about my circular sock machine?
Now's your chance to learn what comes next!
🧦 Saturday, October 24 • 2:00 PM
In this fun, hands-on class, I'll show you how to transform a pre-cranked sock tube into a finished pair of socks by adding the heels, toes, and cuffs.
It's a great way to dip your toes into sock knitting (pun absolutely intended 😉).
Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot!
🧶 Final Beginner Knitting Class of 2026!
Have you been thinking about learning to knit—or know someone who has?
This Saturday is the last opportunity to join our Beginner Knitting Workshops before January. We take a break from beginner classes during November and December as the holiday season gets busy.
🧶 Beginner Workshop: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
🧶 Level 2 Workshop: 2:00–4:00 PM
If you've been waiting for the perfect time to get started, this is it! Whether you're picking up needles for the very first time or ready to build on the basics, we'd love to help you begin your knitting journey.
Reserve your spot today and start the holidays with a new skill!
🧶 NEW! Homeschool Fiber Fridays
I'm excited to start something new this fall!
Beginning this month, we're opening the shop every Friday from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM for Homeschool Fiber Fridays.
Bring your homeschoolers to explore knitting, crochet, needle felting, cross stitch, or whatever fiber craft they're interested in.
Parents, bring your own project too!
Come create, connect, and enjoy a relaxed morning with other fiber-loving families.
🎄 Handmade Holidays Will Be Here Before We Know It...
If you're planning handmade Christmas gifts this year...
Now's the time to start!
I'm putting the finishing touches on a Quick Christmas Gifts Class filled with projects that are fun, practical, and actually doable before the holidays.
Stay tuned—details are coming soon!
As the days get cooler and our project bags get fuller, I'm looking forward to another season of learning, laughing, and creating together. I can't wait to see what this fall has in store for all of us.
Crocheters sharing tips.
Laughter around the table.
And yarn everywhere.
That's exactly what I hoped Knit Ewe Together would become.
Thank you for being part of this wonderful little community.
Happy stitching,
💚 Shawna
Keep on squishin'!
