Toe-Up Socks
Hand knitted socks are one of life's most wonderful luxuries!
Over a course of three to four weeks, you'll learn about toe-up sock construction. Learn how to cast on for a seamless toe, knit using magic loop method of knitting, fleegle heel construction and work a stretchy bind off.
Prerequisites: Participants should be comfortable with basic knitting skills.
There WILL be homework you are expected to finish before the next class and we here at Knit Ewe Together are always happy to help if you need it before our next meeting.
Techniques learned: a Turkish cast on, both knit and purl lifted increases, the Simple Stretchy bind off.
Materials to bring with along:
- 1 skein (100g) of fingering weight sock yarn, purchased from Knit Ewe Together
- Size US 1 circular needle, 32’ inch or longer ( 40’ inch is recommended)
- Tape measure
- Locking stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
- Row counter (optional)
